WHAT IS HOLISTIC RELAXATION MASSAGE
Massage as we all know is an old modality . It has been around for centuries. Recently Have decided that I wanted to get certified in this modality, even though I had a few other types of massage under my belt. I bit the bullet and voila I did it. My favourite type of carrier oil to use for this type of massage is fractionated coconut oil. I am obsessed because it is less oily than most other oils and it is great for all skins. This I can also use in the hair as well as on the face. Have been in the wellness business since 2006 and started out with yoga. I am amazed on how much we need relaxation massage. There is so much stress out there. Yes there was stress throughout the centuries but even more so now because of the heavy load we carry around. Massage helps to rid the body of stress even if it is for a short while. We need that special touch to heal.
So what exactly is Holistic Relaxation massage . It is a treatment that is specifically tailored to each client. So you would and can work the whole body. Not just great for relaxation but can also help with sore muscles. The treatment can be long strokes to finger pressure . Mary Olajos from Inside Out Holistic therapies has a vast amount of certifications. Such as Indian Head massage Therapy, Indian Face massage , Shiatsu massage , Holistic Relaxation massage , Reiki and Reflexology, so she can combine all these modalities to help any one of her clients. So all of these are great for your mental, emotional and physical.
Mary Olajos not just offers this as a treatment but also teaches this modality in her home based business in Uxbridge, Ontario

LIFE COACHING
Have decided to venture into Life coaching to better help my clients even more. So what does life coaching entail. Life coaching helps people to better themselves by giving them the tools to help them balance out their lives. There are many types of coaching. Life coaching is great if the coach has a few areas that they can help their clients out. I have been blessed because I can help with a persons nutrition habits, sleep issues, relaxation techniques because I also had studied meditation which is so wonderful for a persons mind. I also had dabbled into some essential oil so not only can I help a persons sleep issue but I can also help with pain due to muscle soreness by suggesting peppermint essential oil as it has an ingredient that will help with that. I can also help with exercise because I am a yoga instructor. For the other aspects of life I can always give them tools to help them if they are going through a bad break up or if they want to balance their work/personal life because in this day and age just working is not healthy you do need some downtime. Unfortunately a lot of people do not know how to balance that part. This is where life coaching can really help .
So the way that I run this part of my business is that when someone first contacts me. I have them either text or call me to see if they are a good fit. This would be a free consultation. I truly believe that this is the better way to do this for me at least. If we are a good fit then I would obtain their email address so that I could send them a coaching chart to fill out. After they fill it out then they will send back the chart to me so that I will have it on my person to better help them. Now I am a true believer of having people see me in person that way I can get a better feel but I can do it over the phone, FaceTime or zoom. I will make my client accountable as I definitely will want to see once a week or every two weeks until we feel that they are ready and I have done my part

NUTRITION
So what are whole foods? It is defined as food that has not been made into processed food. It is food that is still in its natural state. Such as fruits, vegetables, rice, grains, nuts, meat, eggs what is the definition of nutrition. It is defined as to how living things use food to support their existence, and if done properly can help to maintain health and well-being. So why are some people still eating junk food. Are they hooked or is it because they feel purchasing healthy whole foods is too expensive, but they fail to realize that being ill is more expensive. What is the definition of Healthy eating it is making sure that we refrain from eating unhealthy foods and making sure that we know how to pick nutritious healthy foods to consume. I have spoken to a few people and the main issue was that as mentioned above 1) Healthy organic wholesome food is too expensive. Another is that some people say that they do not have time to cook or are too tired to cook. It does not take long to make a nutritious dinner about 20 minutes to make sure that you hopefully can stay healthy. What is the definition of organics? Organics is defined as food that is grown without the use of pesticides. So what is the difference between organic and non-organic fruits and vegetables? It has been noted that food that is grown organically has lower levels of toxic metals and pesticides and has a lot more antioxidant compounds than regular food and is so much higher than regular food about 19% and 69%. Antioxidants in the fruits and vegetables are linked to a reduced risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, cancer and neodegenerative diseases. This is the reason why I would choose organic over conventional. I also love the farmers that have decided to change from conventional farming to organic farming and here are the reasons why. Organic farming helps with soil and water conservation which also helps to reduce pollution. Also there are other reasons why someone would choose organic or non organic such as
- You might choose organics for taste and freshness
- You might choose organics because there is no pesticide use
- You might choose organic because of the welfare of animals
If you decide to choose organic or non organic please be advised that you should wash and rinse the fruits and vegetables to protect yourself from getting sick due to bad bacteria or pesticide residue.
I have put together a list of organic fruit and vegetables that you should purchase for sure. It is called the dirty dozen but I have added more to the list.
- Apples
You heard the saying an apple a day helps keep the doctor away. How true that is. This fruit contains a high concentration of anti-inflammatory flavonoids called Quercitin and Catechin. The other flavonoid is called Catechin and it has benefits such as

Place them in a plastic cover in the fridge and they should stay nice and tender and crispy for 2 to 3 days
- Potatoes
Everyone knows Potatoes, but did you know that the eyes of the potato when you see them sprout contains alkaloids such as arsenic, chaconine and solanine which are poisons and can be very toxic even in small amounts, co better to cut them out. They are also rich in potassium which can lower blood pressure, the vitamin B6 can help to reduce stress and depression. They are also high in fiber so it is easy to digest, but should not be served to people that are diabetic as they are very starchy with very low protein so therefore they have a very high glycemic load.

Chakra Balancing
Chakras are energy processors for the body that process our emotional matter, physical and spiritual. If they are out of whack then illness can manifest. What we do here is called Chakra Balancing where the client will be lying down clothed on a massage table with a blanket over. The therapist takes a pendulum and places it over each Chakra to see if it is closed or open. Then places a stone geared for each Chakra on the client. The therapist then takes a generator crystal to get rid of negative energy and then uses the generator again to draw white universal positive energy into the chakra through the crystal

Shiatsu is used to maintain good health. Reflexology for the management of
Fibromyalgia
What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia has been around a long time and until recently we are now putting a name on this
condition. There are about 12 million Americans and maybe 6% of the world population that have this condition. Between 80 and 90 percent of people
diagnosed with fibromyalgia are women. However, men and children can also have
the disorder. However, Fibromyalgia is most common in middle aged people. Some
symptoms are:
1) Sleep disturbance
2) Anxiety and depression
3) Migraines or tension
headaches
4) Irritable bowel syndrome
5) TMJ pain in the jaw and facial
area
Reflexology is a non invasive alternative
treatment that applies medium pressure to reflex points and by doing this helps
the brain receive messages and then allows the brain to transmit the signals back to the part of the body the reflexologist is working on so that it can start the healing process. Reflexology can help reduce Fibromyalgia by working on certain points and here are the
points:
1) To improve Mental Clarity
The reflex points to work on
would be the head and brain reflex
To help reduce Fatigue and Improve
sleep. Focus on the Pituitary gland, The endocrine glands, The Pineal gland, The
Adrenal gland and the thyroid gland.
2) To help improve mood
The reflex point to use to improve mood would be the Solar Plexus
as it helps to promote relaxation
3) For the Relief of pain
The reflex points to work on would be the shoulders, spine,
knees, elbows, hips, jaw and facial
4) For irritable bowel help The reflex points to work on would be the Colon and Small Intestine.
